FRÉDÉRIQUE BEDOS

Today, producer and director, Frédérique Bedos has been a journalist and TV and a radio presenter for over 20 years, in France and all around the world. 

In 2010, she took a big leap of faith to create an NGO of information officially recognised by the United Nations in April 2017, and whose aim is to inspire to act: Le Projet Imagine. 

Her first source of inspiration: her adoptive parents in the North of France who took care of her and around twenty "unadoptable" children from all over the world.  

With the NGO The Imagine Project, Frédérique highlights these women and men who go out to conquer unknown territories, and make us aware that anything is possible: the famous "Héros Imagine" ("Imagine Heroes"). 

In 2013, she wrote a book testimony "La petite fille à la balançoire" (The little girl on the swing) published by Les Arènes (and in 2015 in paperback by "J'ai Lu") in which she tells how her personal story gave birth to Le Projet Imagine. Her first Imagine Heroes, her first source of inspiration: her adoptive parents of course!

In 2020, she was a finalist for the « Prix Alice Guy » (Alice Guy Prize) for the best French director of the year. In 2017, she was made a Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Mérite (Knight of the National Order of Merit).

A member of the Scientific and Strategic Council of the World Peace Forum, Frédérique Bedos is, since January 2018, the godmother of Bleuet de France, an association supporting victims of war, widows, wards of the Nation and victims of attacks. Frédérique Bedos has an honorary doctorate from the Catholic University of Lille and was awarded the prestigious "Woman who makes a Difference" prize by the powerful women's network International Women Forum (IWF) in Miami.
